Practical fit adjustments for anyone whose nose bridge sits lower relative to standard Western frame sizing, independent of face shape.

The Fit Issue, Separate From Shape

Standard frame sizing is built around a nose bridge height and position common in Western populations; many people — a large proportion of East and Southeast Asian wearers among others — have a lower or flatter nose bridge, which can cause standard frames to sit too low, touch the cheeks, or slide down regardless of whether the frame shape itself suits their face.

What to Ask For

Look specifically for frames labeled with an Asian fit or low-bridge fit, which use adjusted nose pad placement and bridge geometry rather than a different lens shape — this is a fit specification that exists independently of the shape-matching guidance elsewhere on this site.

Combining Fit and Shape

Once fit is solved, apply the same shape-matching logic from our individual frame-shape guides as normal — fit and shape are separate decisions, and solving the fit issue doesn't change which frame shape suits your face's proportions.
